Nine Demons Films are a versatile crew of experienced video and film production specialists based in Manchester, UK. With a wealth of experience across narrative film production, live event and music video promotion and commercial videography and photography, we are confident we can get the results you need at a price that won't break the bank.
OUR HISTORY:
Our first incarnation was EB Inc., a highly-professional partnership between Grey, Rod, and Rod’s dad’s VHS camcorder way back in the misty-lensed history of 1996 (yes, we are that old). Its primary productions were 10-minute zombie/martial arts/comedy/horror films shot on location in Rod’s back yard, and sometimes in the living room. After this it twisted and reformed several times like the liquid metal Terminator at the end of T2 , but instead of melting and dying, it was reborn as GR Studios.
Working as GR Studios, both Grey and Rod went on to alternative fashion photography and creative photography, and producing comedy video shorts. It was at this point Ben was added to the line-up due to his comfort on camera, love of toast and ability to froth at the mouth on command.
GR Studios’ main success came when they started to produce music and alternative lifestyle video journalism articles for The Independent Voice magazine, filming live concerts by, and interviewing members of, bands under Universal and Sony management such as Haken and Between the Buried and Me. They were also lucky enough to interview the stars of TV’s Twin Peaks at the Twin Peaks UK Festival. During this time Grey was also working with Oscar and BAFTA-nominated film production companies Honlodge Productions and The Chase Films on short film, music video and commercial productions.
But this wasn’t enough for Grey and Rod, whose ripe and fertile brains burst with creative ideas, and so they decided to set up Nine Demons Films, now with new members Kasia and Jacinto, and produce their first short, JALLOTH, which was released in 2017 to great acclaim.
Now they are building momentum and plan on producing more shorts and eventually feature films, with a plan to dominate the film industry. Or at least make a few people laugh and keep themselves in business.
Trivia: By bizarre coincidence alone, all members of Nine Demons Films have been in a band with Grey at some point in time, including Grey, which came as a surprise to him.
